VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer at a Live Rock Concert
As a nonprofit organization, MDM relies on help from volunteers to produce our live music events
* We offer tax deduction receipts for monetary donations per IRS 501(c)(3)
* We offer community service hours to students who volunteer at our shows
(Note that TVUSD high school students require community service credits for graduation)
Event Volunteers
Some MDM events operate as FUNdraisers for other nonprofits or educational organizations
At these events we offer activities in addition to live bands
Typical tasks for Volunteers at our FUNdraiser events include:
- Help with crafting tasks before shows, such as painting, making shirts, etc.
- Distribute flyers for shows
- Assist with social media event promotions
- Organize t-shirts, label by size
- Inventory prizes for event raffles
- Help distribute raffle tix and prizes at event
- Draw winners for raffles
- Take photos and video of live performances (your camera and permission for MDM to use your pix)
- Perform MC duties, lead games, announce sponsors, introduce bands (speaking into mic)
- Provide live performers with enthusiastic audience support

Band Volunteers
MDM presents rock concerts for low or no cost to offer young musicians opportunities to rock live onstage
We do not pay musicians to perform, nor do we charge them * * * NO PAY to PLAY * * *
Typical tasks for Band Volunteers include:
- Prepare and practice playing songs and setlists for live performances
- Attend band rehearsals as directed
- Help promote live events to family / friends / your social media
- Arrive early to shows to help set up stage and sound system
- Attend sound checks as directed
- ROCK the people LIVE!
- Stay after shows and help disassemble sound system, pack up gear
