BATTLE of the BANDS
BATTLE OF THE BANDS is a Local Rock Band Showcase for teenage bands and other indie/unsigned local rock musicians
Bands perform live & compete for prizes, plus games for all
*FIRST PRIZE: the Golden Tip Bucket and a future live gig headlining a Band Battle
*Participating Band Members will receive:
-Event Tshirt
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
ALL BANDS:
-Can have up to 5 members (not signed/pro).
-Must play all instruments live, no backtrax.
-May sell band merch at event if they will donate item(s) for event raffle fundraising.
-Must attend full battle show for age group, from sound check through winner announcement.
-Can be awarded community service credits (required for TVUSD graduation) for volunteering their time to entertain at this 501(c)3 nonprofit fundraising event.
In addition…
Each TEEN BAND:
-Must have majority of band members within age range: Middle school thru 18 years old.
-Can play up to 3 songs /or/ up to 30-minute set.
-Can play covers and/or original songs.
Each ADULT BAND:
-Must have majority of band members within age range: Post high school, 18+
-Can play up to 45-minute set.
-Must play at least one cover song and at least one original song.

Each BATTLE features three to four local bands in an age category performing live:
-BATTLE of the TEEN BANDS
3-6pm (sound check 2pm)
-BATTLE of the BANDS (18+)
8-11pm (sound check 7pm)
*BAND LINEUP (order and start times) for each show will be determined by roshambo at sound check
*WINNERs will be determined by combo of Judges’ Scores and Audience Response (in case of tie, final award decided by venue event management)
*PRIZES are donated up to show day, so prize list is incomplete and may be subject to change.
*FIRST PRIZE: Future live gig at Bastards Canteen and Golden Tip Bucket
*Participating Band members will receive:
-Event tshirt
-Appetizers and soda
